In search of the No 1 in cablewakeboarding

From today the Sukay Park in Bursa will be the place to be for the best rider in the world. With 29°C and clear blue sky the official training was opened this morning. Not only the riders got prepared but also the last technical set up was going on. 8 cameras, 3.5 km cable and more than 30 technicians were working to set up the ground for one of the biggest media coverage in cablewakeboarding ever.

The public on site will follow the action not only on the water but also on a 6x5 m big videowall to see amazing slow-motions and wonderful emotions in full detail. For the board-sport community all over the world all finals will be streamed live by freecaster.tv. The live coverage will start at 15:00 local time and from what we've seen in the training it is going to be one of the most intense and strongest competitions ever.

Every rider is highly motivated and wants to go for the big money. Tom Fooshee (USA) arrived Thursday night after 24 hours of travel and showed during his first rounds in the training that he is here for nothing else than winning. Simply amazing what this little man from Texas celebrates on the water.

But his competitors are in perfect shape and are definitely going to make it not that easy for him. Nick Davies (GB) and Mike Ketellapper (NL) switched into chase mode and will be riding full throttle to show the world who are the best cablewakeboarders. Dominik Guehrs and Steffen Vollert, both from Germany, seem to be training hard over the last weeks and want to continue their series of success from this season.

Everything can happen and everyone is really pumped - the pressure has never been that big but neither has the high prize money - a total of more than 100.000$

Maxine Sapulette (NL), the current No 1 in the Open Ladies ranking also arrived late on Thursday night together with her team-mate Mayanka Jansen. Maxine seems to be the most relaxed rider this weekend because she already is unbeatable with a huge gap between her and the other riders in the ranking.
